  • Taylor Birdtail, Founder - Aaniiih & Cree

    Taylor Birdtail is an Aaniiih & Cree leader and a fluent second-language learner dedicated to Indigenous language revitalization. With over 15 years of experience working within critically endangered language preservation, Taylor has taught learners of all ages, from infancy to university-level courses in n'̓səl̓x̌čin̓. As the Founder and Director of RedUrban, Taylor is committed to reigniting cultural connection through language, making it accessible to all members of Indigenous communities.

  • Christina Heinen, Curriculum Program Director - Assiniboine

    Christina Heinen is an enrolled Assiboine member with Blackfeet roots. As the Curriculum Program Director at RedUrban, bringing over 15 years of experience in Indigenous language revitalization across the Spokane and Flathead regions. Fluent in Qlispélixʷcnm (Kalispel) and N̓səlx̌čin̓ (Colville-Okanagan), Christina has taught learners from early childhood through university settings. Her work is deeply grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing and being, with a strong focus on building accessible, culturally-rooted curriculum that brings language back into daily life. At RedUrban, Christina leads the development of educational resources and programming that foster intergenerational connection, cultural continuity, and everyday language use.
